We stayed here at Bel Air (formerly Playa del Sol) since 2006 when it was in the pre-construction phase for the new beach-front building. You can walk to many restaurants, to the grocery store Mega, to a local bus into town. The bus that runs to Cabo San Lucas stops right across the street. This is a great location for relaxation. The last time we stayed there the new building was available and very nice. This is a small cozy boutique like resort. Very quiet and quaint. Very different from the “mega-resorts”. It is not the kind of place for young singles to party and go crazy. Its much better suited for couples trying to relax or families with young kids. If you are looking for something more grand and lavish with more activities, I would stay at one of the larger resorts. Also keep in mind, this resort is in San Jose del Cabo and is about 20 minutes away from Cabo San Lucas. So if you are looking to hit the town for partying, you probably want to stay closer to Cabo. The town in San Jose del Cabo is slower paced and more authentically Mexican. If you chose to sign up for Interval International and bank/trade the week for any resort in the I.I. family of resorts or bank with Bel Air they have 5 other resorts that you can stay at as well.
